Yeah, well I went ahead and did it. I bought a Chef's Hat. It might sound stupid because it's just a vanity item but I found myself needing to cook a few hundred recipes and I knew that the hat had received a recent buff that allowed the wearer to cook faster.
So 100 Dalaran Cooking Awards later I was the proud owner of the hat. Let me tell you: I think it's worth it. Cooking is almost instant now, it takes about half a second for each cooked item. Besides, I earned myself an achievement.

I'm about to buy it, too. I have around 97 awards now, but all in all I must have collected more than 200 and spent many of them on all available recipes and some spice. The hat is the last achievement that I need in the Cooking bracket.
Oh I got all the recipes a long time ago. I'm not even doing the daily these days. Even though it's only a few minutes, it's one extra thing that I have to micro-manage.
