Vanity Pet #58

Minutes after I got my Elwynn Lamb, another of my Mysterious Eggs hatched, this time into a long-awaited Proto-Drake Whelp. Still no Green Proto-Drake mount but it's the second-best thing and certainly light years ahead of Aged Yolk. I've noticed that recently the egg has been dropping pets instead of yolk. I just hope the trend continues.

Grats! Funny that you mentioned the Oracles, I actually finished the Sholazar Basin achievement this morning and vowed to hang around long enough to get revered with the Oracles so I could buy an egg each week. I have just one quest left there, the final Nesingwary quest (Post-Partum Aggression or whatever it's called). I wanted so bad to finish it but I didn't know how long it would take and I was bordering on not having enough time to get myself and the kids ready to go, so I let it go. That's one of the great things about WoW, you can put it down and pretty much pick up right where you left off.

Now the next looming question, I have three Northrend zones left, Zul'Drak, Storm Peaks, and Icecrown. I'm leaning toward Storm Peaks but I know I should finish Zul'Drak since it's a lower level zone. I'm not sure why, but I just can't bring myself to enjoy questing in predominantly troll areas. Storm Peaks is also closer to Sholazar which means less travel time to get to the Oracle dailies. Decisions, decisions...

Anyway, I've rambled long enough - if I keep this up I will have to start my own blog :) Cheers on the new pet and good luck on the drake too!

Thanks! I have 2 characters revered with the Oracles, actually. My hunter main and my other main, the death knight. I'm only collecting pets on my hunter though, so I sell all the rest that drop from the egg.

About those 3 zones, I can't say I'm a big fan of Zul'Drak. Storm Peaks is ok but it's daunting in it's vastness. I'm halfway questing through Storm Peaks so I can't give much advice here. I would recommend Icecrown because there are a ton of quests there (about 150, not counting Argent Tournament), then there's also the Argent Tournament and also the Knights of the Ebon Blade have a sweet head enchant. Oh and there's a whole bunch of fun quests.
